Apple + Pumpkin Picking
This past week we had the fun opportunity to go pumpkin and apple picking up in Stouffville and it was so much fun! Luckily, Tara and I both had the Thursday off, so we took advantage and drove to the farm!
Faces of two people caught eating apples instead of picking them! |
We tried to fill our bag with 4-5 apples of each variety so we could taste as many different apples as possible. My mom was pretty good at getting the perfect apples and I mostly just picked apples to eat them seconds later. What's the point of going to an apple orchard if it can't snack a little in the process?!😂🙈
Next, we went on a tractor ride to some more orchards and took pictures near some colourful trees. I don't think we have hit the peak of the fall colours and trees changing just yet, but we still got a few good shots. We even found a bench where there was two pre-carved pumpkins sitting on it, so we had to stop and take pictures!
After we had picked all the apples that we could fit into the bag, we made it into the corn maze. I usually am not a huge fan of mazes because I don't like feeling lost, but this one was almost too easy, we kept turning the same way until we got to the end. lol
Lastly, we went to the pumpkin patch. With the purchase of a bag of apples and the entry fee, every one could to take home a pumpkin for free! So, it was just a matter for finding the perfect one!
Now, there are three cute pumpkins on my front porch and an 3/4 eaten apple crumble in the fridge!
I used this recipe and it turned out so good!
Have a good weekend,
Amber
