New Year's Resolutions
With the arrival of the new year comes new years resolutions... as social media keeps reminding us. All over my socials I read about people's goals and resolutions for the New Year. Even though, they are meant to inspire and provoke others, I found them quite un-motivating myself. Seeing other people's resolutions made be feel lousy and unprepared for January 1st when I did not have any of my own and I felt like I wasn't going to change or grow from 2017.
So, I decided to reflect and came up with a short list of ambitions I had for myself for next year that made me happy simply to work on them. However, I did not just want to set them and be down with it, so I also created ways I could also track my progress so I check in with myself.
Therefore, my three goals are:
↬ Workout and do yoga everyday
I find both of these exercises, especially together, help clear my mind especially after a long day and make me feel like I accomplished something during the day, even if I have just been in bed watching TV all day! 🙆
↬ Have a more positive and growth mindset
My mind is my most powerful tool. It dictates how I perform in all areas of my life and how I feel throughout the day. Therefore, I want it to go towards more positive benefits and I can't wait to see what I will be able to accomplish! 💃
↬ Limit Time on Social Media
The whole reason I was feeling lousy about this year was due to social media, and Instagram can be my worse enemy. My goal is limit my time spent on social media and try to only use Instagram once a week. I started this challenge on Jan. 1st and even though I have not been a 100% perfect, I already feel better!
