Lucy’s Wedding
To kick off the month of November we
attended Lucy’s wedding. We flew down to Florida for a short 3 day trip and it
was really fun! The weather was both sunny and warm on all the days that we
were there and the wedding was really nice. Lucy decided to only invite 20
people and it made the whole event seem personal and sweet and not too long! It
was also fun catching up with Vicky when we were there and I am so happy for
Daryl and Lucy!
2.
MUN Conference
Tara and I attended SSUNS this year, this
being my second year and her first. I was excited to represent Canada in the
Paralympic Committee and Tara was able to represent Sri Lanka in the same
committee. I roomed with Sharon, Felicia and Twinkle and it was really fun!
Despite the long and exhausting days, the trip as a whole was really rewarding
and I learned a lot more about this issue that is actually impacting me as
well. I managed to talk on all four days on the conference and our Dais even
made us cookies on the last day!
3.
Fencing + Curling
I was able to go back to fencing after
taking a month off and it was really nice to be back! CFA bought the unit next
to them and I’m excited to see how much bigger the facility is going to become.
I also started curling at school again! Even though I’m a little rusty and pretty bad I’m pretty excited for this season.
4.
Yoga
This past weekend, I put a pair of yoga socks that prevent you from slipping when you are practicing. I really want to start practicing yoga or at least take part in some stretches every morning. I feel like I have been slouching a lot lately and my back has been really sore, so hopefully by doing my exercises this will help.
