October Outings
When the school started this year, I made it a personal goal of mine to find more of a balance between school and "life". I wanted to work really hard in school, while also having fun!
October 1st
Therefore, the month started off with Nuit Blanche in Toronto. The weather wasn't un barely cold and they had some pretty cool stuff. We went to Nathan Phillips Square where there was a hot air ballon that people could go up in and a Stranger Things room. We left after the Stranger things line was too long but I wished we stayed a little longer because a mere 30 minutes after we left DRAKE showed up at Nathan Phillips square with the mayor!
October 4th
Halsey Concert:
I confess that I knew close to zero of her songs before I went, but am now obsessed with every one of her songs. She put on a really good concert! There was fire, confetti, water and lightning! Plus her opening acts, Charli XCX and PartyNextDoor were so good! I went with Simran and it was really fun!
October 14th:
After Tara forced me to go, I met Audrey, Madi and Simran at Wimpy's diner! It had all the right vibes you want in a diner and I wore a leather jacket that made me feel extra cool!!
October 15th:
Tara and I bought makeup for the first time. We bought lipstick, foundation, mascara, setting powder and bronzer. It made us look really good for our grad photos and it's nice to wear on special occasions.
October 22nd:
We went up to Jas's cottage for a day to celebrate Nana and Nani's Birthday. Luckily Josh was home for reading week and the weather was amazing that it made for a really nice day!
Cross Country:
This month I also raced for cross country.
On October 11th, our first race was at Glen Eden Ski Resort. It was raining and cold and I had to run 6km at a ski course! Even though it was tiring it was also fun. Next race was the pre-ROPSSA race at Heartlake. Luckily I was able to run the para race and finished 3rd after being the only girl in the race and was able to receive a medal and a top ten finisher shirt! Then there was ROPSSA the week afterwards. I came fourth overall in this one but received the silver medal for the auditory division! YES!!
Halloween:
Now I wasn't expecting to do anything for Halloween but last-minute Tara forced me to go to the AGO with her and Rachel. I dressed as Georgie from IT even though I had never seen the movie or had a red ballon! When we first got there, we couldn't find where it was but after walking around for a bit we did. There was already some people there decorating and designing cool costumes like a dress made out of pool noodles. The three of us decided to decorate masks and I must say all of our looked really good! While decorating we also met a girl named Dani who was really cool! Then they did a fashion show with all the people in costume! It was so fun to watch and everyone looked really cool!!
