September Highlights

As September is a month I usually associate with the beginning of school, its a month that I usually dread, without a doubt. However,  this time around I tried going to September with a more positive mindset and found that there was quite a few moments I enjoyed this month and has greatly made the bringing of the school year more enjoyable. 🙂🍁🏫


1. The Weather

Even though the arrival of September means the arrival of cooler weather, this was not the case this year. We had temperatures in the mid- to high 20s along with multiple heat warnings throughout the month that made it feel more like July than September. I personally loved the warmer weather as it made walking to school in the mornings a little more enjoyable and I had a few extra weeks to wear all my summer dresses!

2. School Activities

I have always found clubs and sports teams as great ways to get involved in school because they are always fun and I can miss school multiple times for them without feeling any guilt! 😉 For the 12th year in a row I joined Cross- Country and even though I'm not the fastest runner I enjoy the practices and the teams' environment. I also joined the yearbook and the newspaper teams and while I was on yearbook last year, I have always wanted to join a newspaper team as it always looked like so much fun in the movies and I can't  wait to start writing and researching for articles.

3. New Things 

I also was able to get new glasses and new plants this month! I love my new plants and they definitely add more life and colour to my bedroom. My glasses are also rounder than my previous pair and even though I wasn't sure about them at first,  I love that they give me Harry Potter vibes! 🗲

4. Doggo!!!

This month our Aunt's dog got to stay at our house during the day and he has honestly made my days so much better! I love taking him for walks and I love how excited he gets when I come home from school.. even if it's only because he knows once I get home he gets food! 

5. Picnic 

Every year we go to a  birthday picnic in September. This year the weather was super nice and sunny. The food was great and it was fun to chat to everyone at the picnic even if we had never met them before. This picnic is always something I look forward to in September!

September was a really fun month and I can't wait to see what the rest of the year will turn out like! 📅
